To the breastfeeding mum who can't catch a break.

I nursed my first child every 45 minutes--big deal. Boy, was it! I never expected a child of mine to be so demanding. He had to nurse every 45 minutes or else ... else he'd scream till the end of time. Or so I thought; I never found out. After all, if I let him nurse every 45 minutes, he was in seventh heaven, so who was I to complain?

The way that society puts it on mothers to "give the baby to dad to bond" almost as if I'm some kind of baby jog on purpose, or being told "I'm spooling the baby" somehow by giving him comfort or nutrition. Why I'm the most awful mother (sarcasm intended).

Society sucks moral of my story, as someone who reads constantly, babies are meant to sleep for more than half an hour, so why isn't mine? Well here it is
- your baby only knows you
- your baby was inside you for 9 months approx

Looking down the road, a secure infant base is now with me and my first born. He knows I'm here, and so is everyone else in his life. Always trust your instincts, mum. You're doing a good job.

Please know I'm not against formula feeding that's not my intention by this post, just encouraging the mothers who breastfeed.
