Car accident !

a couple weeks ago I was involved in a car accident. It was the most scariest thing that has ever happened to me. It all happened straight after dropping my daughter Krystal off at school. I was driving straight when all over a sudden I struck a car that went flying through a stop sign. I remember seeing the other car flip over on its roof !! it all happened so fast but so slow also. I now understand the meaning of adrenaline as it kicked in instantly with me. As soon as the accident happened I jumped out of my car like a superwoman, I ran to the back and got my other daughter out of the car. I called out to bystanders to ring an ambulance as I thought the worst for the people in the other car. As I approached the other car the driver said that her daughter was in the back, so I quickly ripped open her back door and got her daughter out.
Once everyone was out and ok, I started to cry and feel sick. The adrenaline was wearing off. once ambos came and checked everyone out and police took statements I could leave. When I got home was when I realised I was in pain. I had the worse pain in my back and neck and also a sore nose as the airbags hit my face on impact.
The next day I had to drive again ! and this was when I released how fearful I was. I was literally driving 20km/h and too scared to go any faster. I was shaking and worried that another person would do something stupid and we would all end up hurt. Now its been 2 weeks and im back to driving normally. But im still very fearful of other drivers.
I am just so glad that everybody walked out of the accident fine !
Cars can be replaced but lives cant !

  1. I’m glad that everyone involved in the accident was okay. I hope your back, neck, and nose are healed now. I bet it’s going to be frightening to drive now, especially because you the same accident may happen again. I was in an accident once but at least I was the only person in the car.

  2. When my wife had an accident, I rushed to the scene to make sure she’s okay. She was fine, however over the next few weeks she too struggled with driving, especially down the same road where it all happened. Over time she began to feel at ease while driving and her anxieties vanished. Hang in there, it does it easier.

  3. So glad to hear that everyone is OK! I was in a serious accident a couple of years ago, getting hit from behind. It definitely took a little while to get comfortable driving again! Thank goodness for seatbelts and air bags, they definitely saved the day, despite experiencing some temporary pain. Here's to safe travels in the future!
